You have surely felt the feeling of despair before. When the conflicts within your community get you down. When you read a social media post that causes nothing but dissention. When you sense how disjointed and combative we - the Jewish People - can be with one another.

You have surely felt the feeling before...when it seems like there is simply too much that divides us.

That’s why it is so important that you donate to Global Jewish Unity Day and demonstrate your commitment to fostering a sense of togetherness within the Jewish People.

When you give to Global Jewish Unity Day, you make sure that people realize that there is much more that unites us than divides us. That despite the headlines and Facebook posts, we are a People who value mutual respect above all else.

Your gift will ignite a movement of schools, youth groups, congregations, and communities to ACT, to CONVERSE, and to INSPIRE one another.

Because of you, on June 7, 2017, the 3rd Annual Jewish Unity Day will take place on six continents.

Tens of thousands of people will participate in an event that demonstrates that our diversity is our strength. Because of you, Jewish students across the globe will embrace the concept of unity.

One People. Through celebrations and through grief. No matter our disagreements.

The impact of Unity Day is well-documented. It started in 2014 after three teenagers - Eyal Ifrach, Gilad Shaer, and Naftali Fraenkel - were kidnapped and murdered. As the week of mourning for the boys came to an end Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat, the Gesher organization, and the families searched for the appropriate way to nurture the flames of unity that so engulfed the Jewish people during that time. The Jerusalem Unity Prize and Unity Day honor that sense of togetherness and hope.

But none of it is possible without the support of people like you, people committed to our unification, regardless of background or denomination.

We’re turning to you today because you have felt that feeling of despair and you know that there is another way. We can focus on the positive. We can celebrate our differences.

With your support, the Jerusalem Unity Prize and Day will grow even more popular and become an integral and fundamental component of our communities. Your support ensures a vibrant and unified global Jewish movement.

Plus, giving to Global Jewish Unity Day is simply smart philanthropy. This cause is so important that a group of generous donors has agreed to match each dollar you donate to this campaign! That means that you can have TWICE the impact in infusing the Jewish people with a sense of hope and togetherness.

Please give and lead the movement. Demonstrate that there is something we can do to unite our People.
