In the aftermath of terror attacks, car accidents, or any other medical emergency, when people need help fast, the first responder an Israeli sees will mostly likely be wearing the bright orange vest of United Hatzalah of Israel.

Our community-based EMTs, paramedics and doctors are like guardian angels with the power to fly to medical emergencies and save lives when seconds count.

United Hatzalah provides the people of Israel with rapid, professional, pre-ambulance emergency care with an average record-breaking response time of 3 minutes or less. Our services are free, universal and 24/7 and we are recognized by the government of as an official lifesaving agency.

To maintain and expand our operations United Hatzalah of Israel needs ambucycles, volunteers, and communications gear. These three ingredients make up our lifesaving TLC triangle. TLC stands for technology, location, and communication.

Technology: United Hatzalah uses ambucycles (specially modified motor scooters carrying the same equipment as an ambulance minus the stretcher) that can zip through traffic jams and narrow alleyways to the scene of a medical emergency to help as fast as possible. Technology also includes the most advanced medical equipment used to treat patients.

Location: United Hatzalah’s volunteer medics are embedded in the communities they serve, over 3,000 across Israel. The goal is to have a United Hatzalah medic on every block.

Communication: United Hatzalah’s command center use GPS satellite location, to match the closest volunteer with the equipment and training with the emergency that needs to be responded to. Terror attacks and medical emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time and our communications gear allows us to rapidly get medical treatment to those in need every time.

United Hatzalah is also a nonprofit, our volunteers come from every walk of Israeli life and faith and are united by our desire to save lives. Because we don’t charge for our services our funding comes from people like you who care about safeguarding the lives of the Israeli people.

As part of our Israel120 campaign everything you donate will be matched X2. Your gift will hit the streets of Israel and provide helping hands to people in need of emergency medicine.
