But their neighbors across the hall break even each month, with a small surplus to put away for the future. Money is not a source of contention for them; it’s simply not an issue. No, their income is not higher than that of their counterpart, nor is their family size smaller. They didn’t win the lottery or inherit a fortune from a rich uncle…
The only difference is that the first never learned how to manage their money, while the latter did. Mesila is here to make sure that every individual and family can access the knowledge and tools to achieve and maintain financial stability.
Mesila is an international movement dedicated to strengthening financial stability in Jewish communities around the world. Mesila accomplishes this goal both by coaching families and businesses to achieve economic self-sufficiency and by instilling healthy financial attitudes in youths and adults through financial literacy education programs in schools and workshops/seminars in the community.
Mesila’s programs are dramatically impacting our communities by fostering financial responsibility and creating more tuition payers, reshaping the next generation’s view of their finances, and putting countless families on the road to long-term financial stability.
Since its founding, the organization has helped 22,000 families gain control of their finances and move on to lasting financial security.
The organization is flooded with requests from families for a professional coach, but too many of these families are unable to cover even the subsidized fees. Many more families whose lives could be turned around by our services are unaware of their existence. That is why we are asking for your help.
