 Manifa has been working since 2004 with the aim of identifying and assisting children, youth and young people in various risk situations.

Over the years, we have established various projects for diverse populations in order to provide a professional and quality response to the hardships arising in the field.

 Going Together - A Personal Mentor Program For Children At Risk

Every at-risk boy was once a child… Early detection of children at risk helps them overcome many obstacles and prevents future deterioration.  We strive to give a personal mentor to every child with whom we identify significant difficulties that may develop into situations of risk in various areas - personal, academic, social and more.

At Menifa we want to already help 250 children this year who need our help and guidance through the supportive envelope of a personal mentor.

 Menifa Classes – Absorbing Classes For Dropout Youth

Menifa classes absorb boys and girls who have dropped out of various settings and find a home, a warm and loving staff that first of all envelops receives and accepts despite all the complexities.

Menifa sees the boy / girl in their entirety and therefore provides the necessary envelope from an educational, therapeutic and educational standpoint.

For each and every one, a personal program is built in order to leverage his / her academic strengths and achieve full matriculation.  From completing gaps and individual assistance to self-learning guidance and adding units and high school studies according to ability and desire.

Boys and girls, who have not taken tests since fourth grade, in Menifa experience success in school, took the matriculation exams and even graduated with full matriculation!  

With the help of trust, love and unconditional acceptance, they embark on a strengthened life, integrating into the army, national service, yeshivas, seminaries and higher education..

 Empowerment Centers - Rehabilitation And Personal Empowerment In Treatment Centers

Every child who chooses to take the step and enter the Center door immediately feels the warmth, love and acceptance of the staff.  

Each child brings with him to the Center his personal story and so, little by little, step by step and especially together, we stride towards his personal goals, with a lot of faith in him and the way.  

 Cherna Center - A Unique Model For Integrating Girls After Psychiatric Hospitalization

We have developed a unique model at the Cherna Center for girls who are dealing with a significant mental crisis (usually after a psychiatric hospitalization).  

The purpose of the framework is to provide a bridge between the crisis period and a return to functioning in the community.  The Center is a day center to which the girls come daily from home for learning, social gatherings, strengthening life skills and an intensive emotional therapeutic response.  At the same time, therapeutic work is also taking place with the girl's parents.  The place is run in a homey, warm and enveloping atmosphere.  

A lot of thought is invested in the place on strengths and skills and activities, classes and workshops are held with the understanding that they encourage curiosity, creativity and life strengths.  During their stay at the Center, the girls go through a significant process of growth and strengthening both at the individual level and at the group level.  

Towards the end of the girl's stay at the center, there is thinking and guidance about her integration into continuing frameworks in each community according to what is right for her.

 In My Brother’s Company Program – Mentoring Drop-Out And Incarcerated Soldiers

When at-risk youth grow up they take their personal difficulties with them into military service.  

That is why we developed the In My Brother’s Company program - a personal mentoring program to mentor male and female soldiers in situations of risk, dropout and incarceration.  The program operates before and throughout the years of military service.  

In recent years we have mentored over 500 men and women soldiers during their military service.  There is a great need and we want to help 150 more this year and provide them a supporting shoulder in the form of a personal mentor.

 Preparation For Life - Housing For Young Women After A Mental Crisis

In the Beit Hakerem neighborhood in Jerusalem a beautiful apartment is under construction for the Life Preparation program, where young women facing a mental crisis will reside and live a life of independence and partnership.  

The preparatory staff will accompany the young women intensively in the areas of employment, education, functioning and treatment in order to rehabilitate them and return them to normal functioning.  

Adjacent to the preparatory facility a training center for employment and a seminary for Torah studies are being established.  

Menifa Clubs

 Menifa clubs are integration frameworks that give a pedagogic, therapeutic, emotional, and educational response for children in grades 1-6 and they constitute a safe and inclusive space for the children and their families.

These days, the Menifa association, which operates the clubs, in launching a crowd funding campaign.

We want to empower the places and establish agricultural treatment greenhouses, enrichment classes and a technological learning center.
