Cross the Threshold with IHEART: A #MentalHealthRevolution for Our Children

"I would build an imaginary brick wall that I couldn't get over … now I see that it’s just a wall within my mind." - Sarah, Year 6

“I would always use violence to solve my problems … but not anymore.” - Adan, Year 9

“I couldn’t pick myself back up ... now I feel like I can face any challenge.” - Oscar, Year, 11

Do these statements remind you of a young person you know and care about – a child of a colleague? A neighbour? A family member? Your own child?

Especially for children and teens, poor mental health can manifest itself – often silently and invisibly – in highly damaging ways. It can mean being depressed for no obvious reason. Or being angry at the slightest provocation. Or feeling alone even when surrounded by friends. Or considering suicide when there appears to be no hope for a different life.

Sometimes children, like us adults, get confused. They make poor decisions. They pursue destructive behaviour or unhealthy relationships. They set themselves down a dark path where things can go from bad to worse to crisis. They get so overwhelmed by feelings of desperation that there seems no way out…

For that child, the world then seems to be out to get them. A world full of unsolvable problems. A world where they are victims, lacking autonomy and self-worth.

But you can change all that.

You can be part of something that is saving lives. You can give a desperate young person a sense of hope. A way out of the darkness. A new way to think about their feelings and emotions. The resilience and ability to make good decisions even in very difficult situations.

Your donation to IHEART helps provide the missing piece in the mental health puzzle that society seems unable to solve.
Though young people like Sarah or Adan or Oscar may seem lost, you can give them the confidence and resilience to deal with any challenge thrown his or her way.

IHEART is different to every other programme out there.

Picture it: a classroom full of young people discovering how their minds are perfectly designed to deal with whatever life brings... all because of you.

When you donate to IHEART, you enable our children to learn:

· How they are whole, not broken
· How they have everything they need inside of them
· How they can navigate their way through life’s challenges
· How they can have the confidence to make positive and lasting changes

Because of you, the IHEART programme will enter more schools, more classrooms, more youth projects and more minds.

Because of you, more educators, youth workers and leaders will be able to teach our children about the super-power of their own mind.

Because of you, fewer children will suffer from depression, from anxiety, from self-harm, from loneliness, from suicide.

We have a programme that works. It works because it doesn’t treat the symptoms; it solves the problems facing our young people at source.

But unless someone stands up to help, the mental health crisis will continue to get worse before it gets better. That's where you come in. To help us achieve our goal to raise £200,000 in 36 hours – together.

Please donate to IHEART today!

This cause is so important that a group of generous donors has agreed to DOUBLE every pound you donate by September 16th. But the match only kicks in if you give by Monday night @ 10pm. After that, it will be too late!

Please open your heart and donate today.

For children desperately struggling and searching; children who can’t help themselves without YOUR help.

Your gift makes a world of difference. It can even save a life.
