It has been a year since the passing of our beloved Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib Shteinman, author of Ayeles Hashachar, of blessed memory. A gaping hole in the tapestry of Am Yisroel is left after his passing and we cannot fill it, not for ourselves nor for Am Yisroel and the entire world.

There was one yeshiva that Rav Shteinman ztz"l held dearly. He had a warm place in his heart for the yeshiva that he founded in his old age, and led with devotion for over 40 years: Yeshivas Geon Yaakov.

Rav Shteinman was not only the Rosh Yeshiva; he was a loving father to each student. He dedicated his time to give many shiurim in the yeshiva, and put in much effort to educate the students in the way of Hashem and His Torah.
