Started 29 years ago, the Wachs and Ungars set out to create a special organization for Jewish learning, growth and achievement. With endless classes and trips, Etz Chaim has helped so many develop a love and yearning for Jewish connection. 

Three decades later, the vision hasn't changed. We continually seek to engage our community in fun and engaging Jewish connection programs. Through an array of classes, events and trips to Israel, there is something for everyone at Etz Chaim. 

We are a non-for-profit organization and mostly depend on the generous support of the community to fund our project. The annual gala is our main fundraiser. 

This year we are delighted to honor four friends of Etz Chaim, that have both helped our organization and raised the bar of Jewish engagement in Greater Philadelpha.
