"The father of 80,000 babies" – that's how the headlines reported the passing of Dr. Eli J. Schussheim zt"l, president of the Efrat association.

With unmatched devotion, Dr. Eli J. Schussheim launched an organization with the goal of providing long-term support and assistance for pregnant women in distress who were considering abortion, mainly due to economic concerns.

Thanks to his dedicated work, the lives of so many babies – and their generations after them – were saved.
Sadly, Dr. Schussheim's sudden passing has left a terrible void. We are like a ship without a captain.

Every day, some 110 abortions are taking place in Israel — that's 40,000 a year. Most are being performed due to financial distress. It's unthinkable to terminate life because of money!

This is the moment when we will heed the rallying cry to "Continue in his path and save lives!" We must continue Dr. Schussheim's life mission through the Efrat association – the largest life-saving organization in Israel!
