August is the loneliest month for children with disabilities (and their parents!)

Camp Shutaf: Changing the Lives of Campers with Disabilities

Because there just aren’t options. Except for Camp Shutaf in Jerusalem.

For an Israeli tax receipt, click here to donate in SHEKEL.

If you could have seen the look on Shira’s face as she finished her art project, you’d understand the special magic of Camp Shutaf.

You’d understand that the joy and confidence Shira, who has Autism, finds and develops at Camp Shutaf fuels her success throughout the school year, long after summer’s end.

You’d understand that for children with disabilities, Shutaf isn’t just a place to spend a summer.  It’s a community. A place where they can truly be themselves.

But not this summer. This summer, we’ll have to turn children away. Children like Shira, along with her friends, Tali and Nir, who are also Shutaf campers with disabilities. Shutaf simply doesn’t have the necessary funds needed for 3-wonderful-weeks of camp for 150 campers with disabilities this August.

Shutaf children with disabilities need your help. Shira’s family struggles with the financial and emotional challenges of raising a child with a disability.

More than 1/2 of all Shutaf campers with disabilities need significant financial assistance in order to attend Shutaf camp. Tuition is highly subsidized - No child is turned away because of financial need.

That’s why your help, especially now, is so important!

Your gift will ensure that every child with disabilities in need, including Shira, will experience the magic of the ONLY inclusive, 3-week day camp in Israel for children with disabilities.

Because of you Tali, an 11-year-old with behavior and emotional challenges, will dance with joy alongside Shira, and her other camp friends.

Because of you David, a 14-year-old without disabilities, will learn about diversity and acceptance, as a member of Shutaf’s inclusive community.

Because of you more campers with disabilities will be able to attend Shutaf.

Together, we can change lives at Camp Shutaf.
