How are you in the midst of this pandemic?
The worldwide Corona Pandemic has been a challenge for everyone. South African children are particularly vulnerable and urgently need psychosocial support to cope and to adapt to a world with many restrictions, new ways to relate and loss on many levels.
Hundreds upon thousands of local children have suffered school closures and ineffective educational support, isolation from friends and family, empty tummies; many trapped in crowded, severely under resourced households.
You can contribute to alleviating some of their needs.
You can provide stability and clarity in a world of instability and confusion.
Did you know that doing art like drawing, painting, moulding clay and crafts such as knitting relieves children’s stress and stabilises them? It helps them cope.
Doing art let’s them express themselves. It balances thinking, feeling and willing which ultimately builds our immune system.
Butterfly Art Project trains Community Art Facilitators to teach art as a way of providing psychosocial support to children.
You can be a beautiful butterfly today and donate towards BAP’s target of R500,000.00 which will enable them to keep supporting the most vulnerable members of society. The future generation.
The pandemic has also affected BAP’s stability and they are facing a lack of resources to cover all their costs for training and mentoring at least 200 Community Art Facilitators who serve 5500 children in more than 100 local communities.
That is why your donation to the Butterfly Art Project is so important.
