An emotional kumzitz at the bedside of a lonely patient. A joyful visit to the home of a suffering child. A Bar Mitzvah party for a sick boy. A fun day for families…
One person brings a friend, one smile brings another. It all happened on the move, as reality created actions.
Our lives are now surrounded with helping and strengthening the lives of the many pure souls lying ill in gloomy hospital rooms and special institutions all across the country.
The organization’s annual activity statistics reveal thousands of joy-filled visits, dozens of events participated in by leading artists, bar mitzvah events for sick children, vacations for patients and their families, seminars and fun days – and counting.
Our scope of activity is constantly growing, like a plant climbing and flourishing in every possible direction.
The Future is Still Ahead of Us
Belev Echad Organization is always working towards more opportunities to help the special needs and sick children and their families. Big preparations are underway for the establishment of a huge campus that will be entirely for the sake of the sick and special needs children.
On campus, children and their families will be able to stay there before and after difficult and agonizing treatments in order to recover and to gather strength to continue their journey. Children and their families will be able to spend time during the year as well where they will receive the full hospitality of a five-star hotel. In addition, there will be many health activities and resources
for those who need it
Seriously ill children need and deserve an as much as possible happy and normal a childhood. The illness’s that these children have affects each member of the family.
The illness can have a devastating financial effect on families as well.
That is where Belev Echad comes in to save the day!
We at Belev Echad strive to find ways to bring joy to the lives of these children and their families through creative, innovative, and effective programs, activities, and services all throughout the year.
We bring joy to patients in the hospitals.
Every week, our 600 volunteers spread out to the various hospital wards around the country with musical instruments, gifts for the children, and most of all – lots of energy that instantly raises the moods around. The enthusiastic singing, dancing, and boundless warmth take the patient away, even if briefly, from his painful daily reality and offer him real hope for the future.
We come to patients' homes to make them happy.
In addition, we frequently visit old age homes and institutions for children with special needs and send volunteers to supervise patients in the hospitals at the families' request.
We arrange birthday parties for sick children.
A child's birthday is the most important event throughout his childhood experiences.
The undivided attention, the balloons, the gifts, the cake… all these fill his little heart with pure innocent joy for an entire year. A sick child also deserves this – and so much more, yet not always is there someone who can celebrate his special day inside the white walls of the hospital, far from his school and friends. This is where we enter the picture. Every month, our volunteers arrange birthday parties for dozens of sick children. We come to their homes with a cake and gifts and throw a huge party that helps them forget – even if only for a few hours – about the pain and suffering that is a daily part of their lives.
The 'TABLEV' Network, first of its kind in the world!
Belev Echad is already dealing with hundreds of requests to borrow tablets. The goal is to increase operations significantly so there will not be a hospital without Belev Echad tablets.
We organize respite Shabbasos for the children and their families.
The families enjoy lavish Shabbos meals, fun activities for the children and professional performers at an exciting and moving Melaveh Malka party on Motzai Shabbos.
