Mechinat Ateret has been operating in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City for 29 years.

It draws its strength and spirit from its proximity to the site of our Temple, and has brought hundreds and thousands of hearts closer to the love of Torah and devotion.

During all these years, emphasis was placed mainly on the spiritual aspects and less on the physical dimension, based on the belief that the unique warm home-like atmosphere, sense of togetherness and sanctity were more important.

In recent years, we have experienced a joyful renewal and inner growth in terms of the number of students and activities in the Mechina.

This growth has led us to the understanding that the Mechina’s physical space also needs to be renewed.

We are setting out to renovate the Ateret building so that we can continue to grow and develop.

We view this as an opportunity to preserve the old building, but to renovate it so that we will be able to continue using it for many more years of Torah study.

We invite you to partner with us in growth and development, to renew while preserving the original building, because as we all know, Mechinat Ateret never stops – in body or spirit.
